About Us

At Windhover Farm we offer riding lessons in a variety of disciplines. Our barn is a safe and fun environment where riders of all skill levels, ages and backgrounds may come to learn how to be a true equestrian. Our skilled trainers and instructors have many years of experience working with horses and competing in a multitude of equestrian sports at a professional level (and receiving many awards to show for it). We specialize in Mounted Games, a fun and fast paced team sport played on horseback, as well as hunter/jumper and dressage.

Our boarding barn is a clean and well equiped facility with friendly and attentive staff. We offer on-site training, full care and pasture care options. To schedule a tour and discuss your needs, please contact us below.

Finally, we breed Section "B" welsh ponies. Our goal is to produce not only top class athletes but also to provide ponies that will be safe child companions. Our ponies are sane and sound with the elegance that sets them apart. We breed for intelligent ponies with a strong work ethic. Our bloodlines are top hunter bloodlines.

All Levels Welcome

Our students learn not only to ride well, but also how to brush and tack their horse. We teach horse management skills and work with our students to help them become good equestrians.

Our emphasis is on safety, confidence and fun. Riders learn basic dressage and jumping. We also use Mounted Games in our lessons to help teach riders balance and steering in a fun and engaging way. With the many Hunter and Mounted Games shows that we attend throughout the year (check our facebook page for the current schedule of events), there are many opportunities for students to get out and exhibit the skills they have learned.

The horses that we use are safe and reliable with many years of experience with riders of all skill levels.
